2. Report them.

If the site has a specific code of conduct and a way to report members with infractions, then use this system. People need to be held accountable for their actions. Unfortunately, for some people it requires punishment from an outside source since their own values and personal code of conduct aren’t at a place where they can monitor themselves. Reporting them is really doing them a favor: It will let them know that their behavior will not be tolerated and that they need to clean up their act. This will likely not only help them in their online world but in their real-world life as well.
